JEREMY G. ANGUS

President & CEO

Mr. Angus joined The Prevention Network in July of 2013, taking over at the time as President & CEO of the organization, which at the time, was home to CLASS Academy. Fast forwarding until 2022, Mr. Angus has expanded the company to now be, The Prevention Network & CLASS Academy where it is home to serving over 150 students annually from over 26 school districts in grades 4-12 and serves over 15,000-20,000 students annually through behavioral health services.

Awards & Acknowledgements

Noted accomplishments are that in 2013, Mr. Angus was named one of the annual Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Newsmaker’s and in 2014 Mr. Angus was named one of Pittsburgh’s 13 under 30 by WHIRLS Magazine. In 2015, Mr. Angus was named one of Pittsburgh’ Top 40 under 40 by Pittsburgh Magazine. He also has been named one of Pittsburgh’s 30 under 30 by the Pittsburgh Business Times.

New Administrative Support

For the 2024-2025 School Year, Mr. Angus welcome additional Administrative support through Mrs. Smith, the new Principal of CLASS Academy. Mrs. Smith brings over 33 years of education experience to CLASS Academy and is excited to support the ongoing vision of Mr. Angus.

A New Kind of Alternative School

"The school's administration uses the acronym CLASS — Considerate, Language, Accountability, Safety and Style — in reference to its SW-PIBIS framework. SW-PIBIS encourages positive behaviors instead of the traditional alternative education style that tends to be more punitive.
